Secure Checkout
Q. How secure is checkout and is my credit card information safe?
A. We guarantee a secure checkout because we have triple protection
    Miva Merchant provides SSL Encryption
    LinkPoint provides SSL Encryption
    Paypal provides SSL Encryption
       
All three require several layers of verification and owner protection


Q. How can I avoid fraudulent charges to my credit card?
A. The requirements below cannot be obtained by someone without the actual credit card itself + extra personal data
    Miva Merchant requires double verification by address and zip code matches
    Paypal requires a "verified" email, Paypal Account and Password Login
    LinkPoint requires name, address and zip code match + extra security measures by requiring a CVV/CSS Code #
       
Someone physically holding the card won't be able to pass the other 2 security check points


Q. How can I be sure my information doesn't get out from your end?
A. Our systems do not hold any sensitive - credit card information
    Miva Merchant only keeps the last 4 digits of the credit card in our system
    Paypal only gives the name of the buyer and email address  
    LinkPoint only provides first and last 4 digits of credit card information
       
Refunds and additional charges are processed by order # and by customer name only


Creating An Account
Q. Why do I need to create an account and log in?
A. There are several reasons and several benefits
    Receive newsletters updating you on discontinued items and new products
    Having an account makes you eligible for group discounts and promotional items at checkout
    You will be greeted by name - No more filling out required fields - the cart will recognize you


Q. What if I forget my password?
A. Miva Merchant offers a password retrieval system
    Simply click on forgot password and the system will retrieve it for you
    Forget the Login Name and you can email Management (louisa@apondplace.com) we will email it
    If you request to be removed - our admin will remove you from the data base immediately


Payment Options - Credit Cards
Q. Do you accept credit cards?
A. We accept the following Credit Cards
    Visa - Mastercard - Discover  (*Note-CSS/CVV # is 3 digits - on the back of the card)
    American Express  (*Note-CSS/CVV # is 4 digits - on the front top right corner of card)


Q. Why do I not see an option for American Express at checkout?
A. American Express is provided by our Paypal Merchant Account
    You would choose Paypal at the payment screen
    Continue to the Credit Card Section
    Enter your information and complete your order


Payment Options - "Check"
Q. Do you accept Checks?
A. We cannot accept personal checks- only US Postal Money Orders
    eChecks are the same. They can be verified and used through Paypal
    Personal checks cannot be accepted in the online store (special requests by phone may apply- if OK'd)


Q. Then why do I see a payment option for check?
A. The "Check" option can be used in three ways
    For customers who receive the message "Shipping Cannot be calculated"
    For a customer who wants to 'Check" a shipping quote before paying
    For customers who wish to pay by US Postal Money Order


Q. How does the Check For Quote work?
A. You would choose check as your payment option and complete the order
    We would use the zip code from the order and get a shipping estimate
    We would call and/or email you with the shipping cost for your approval


Q. What if I don't want to pay the amount you have quoted?
A. We would delete the order right away
    Note To The Buyer: We do not charge more then the actual shipping costs
    There is no obligation to the order if you choose to "check" for a shipping quote


Q. What if it tells me it cannot calculate?
A. You would process the order by way of the "check" option and complete the order
    We would use the zip code from the order and get a shipping quote
    We would call and/or email you with the shipping costs for your approval
     
 If you approve and want the order- a phone order will be placed


Payment Options - Money Orders & eChecks
Q. Do you accept Money Orders?
A. We accept US Postal Money Orders and eChecks
    Money Orders require numbers at checkout to complete the order (use zipcode)
    eCheck requires choosing the Paypal option at checkout


Q. How does a Postal Money Order Work?
A. Select "check" as your payment option - continue - add your zip code and complete the order
    Print your receipt and purchase a Money Order for the full amount of your order
    When it is received and clears- email verification will go out and the order will ship
       
Add the shipping amount to ensure full payment is made (failure to do so delays shipment)


Q. What happens if I don't hear anything - or you don't receive the Money Order?
A. We always follow up on every order in our store.
    After 7 business days if we have not received payment we will contact you with a reminder
    If you contact us with concern and we have not received it- cancel the Money Order
    We will hold the order for 5 additional business days to allow a replacement payment

Payment Options - Phone Orders
Q. Can I place an order over the phone?
A. We will be more then happy to assist you with your order over the phone
     Try and have the item number(s) ready - this makes it easier for you
     If you aren't sure of the items - A representative will shop online with you

     We will take your payment information and process your order

DUPLICATE ORDER - Credit Card Denied
*SPECIAL NOTE* To Customers making a credit card purchase
To ensure safe, secure online credit card transactions we require the following at checkout
     BILL TO name and address - MUST MATCH the information on the Credit Card
     IF IT DOES NOT- the order WILL NOT be approved

     IF this happens- DO NOT refresh page or attempt to correct it.

We have experienced situations where the customer enters something incorrectly in the required fields.
The customer then refreshes or goes back one page and tries it again. THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING! It will
simply duplicate the order (leaving the customers frantic that they have been charged twice) and it won't
produce an order for us to work with.

In the event this happens to you- please do not attempt to fix the changes. Let the order be denied and empty
the shopping carts content.  Either place a new order OR contact us and we'll take the order over the phone.

Q. If this happens, has it taken my money?
A. LinkPoint has the data but is listed as suspect. The payment is denied- listed as "Possible Fraud"

Q. What happens if I fix it and it duplicates it?
A. It will come through LinkPoint again, this time taking the correct data and the payment. It will not duplicate
    or take the funds twice but the order itself will not be produced.

   The downfall to simply fixing the error is that the shopping cart will not be able to process the data to our office.
If you have selected and paid for special shipping  ( 3-day Select ) we won't know it.

If this happens, simply go to your "Shopping Cart", empty it and do it again or call us for assistance.
